Pierre Nicoli

Pierre joined iCON in September 2022 and is based in iCON’s Paris office, bringing 29 years of investment banking and industry experience. His previous roles include equity investing (Caisse des Dépôts, CBRE), road & airport operator (Egis), civil engineer (Eiffage), and financier (European Head of Energy & Infrastructure for BNPP and Global Head of M&A at Santander). He has been involved in large and mid-sized M&A transactions worth circa EUR 60 billion in 13 countries.

Lauren Brown

Lauren joined iCON in 2022 and is in the Investor Relations team. Prior to joining iCON, Lauren worked for Pantheon Ventures in the Investor Relations team where she focused on UK LGPS, corporate pensions and insurance schemes. Previously she also worked at Legal & General Investment Management servicing institutional clients in the Iberia and DACH regions. Lauren holds a BSc in Chemistry from Loughborough University.

Erika Scott

Erika joined iCON in 2022 and focuses on the firm’s investment activities in North America. Prior to joining iCON, Erika was at CBRE Investment Management where she focused on direct investments, co-investments, and fund commitments as part of their Private Infrastructure team. Erika was involved in social infrastructure, renewables, utility, and transportation transactions in North America, Europe, and Australia. Erika received her Bachelor of Business Administration with Honours from Wilfrid Laurier University. Erika is based in iCON’s Toronto office.

Arthur Holland

Arthur joined iCON’s New York office in 2022. Prior to joining iCON, Arthur was an M&A lawyer at Kirkland & Ellis, where he counselled private equity clients on significant transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, and portfolio company management. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland and a J.D. from Columbia Law School.

Eric Spangler

Eric joined iCON in 2022 from the Power, Utilities and Infrastructure group at Jefferies. He brings experience across M&A and debt advisory, having been involved in transactions covering thermal and renewable power generation, transmission, regulated utilities and transportation infrastructure. Eric holds a BSc in Economics and Finance (Bentley University). Eric is based in iCON’s New York office.

Ethan Rosenthal

Ethan joined iCON in 2022 and focuses on the firm’s investment activities in North America. Prior to joining iCON, Ethan was at BlackRock Real Assets where he worked on co-investments, fund commitments, and secondary transactions across infrastructure sectors, including in the transportation & logistics, telecoms, energy, and social infrastructure sectors. Ethan holds a BA in History from Amherst College. Ethan is based in iCON’s New York office.

Céline Billant

Céline joined iCON 2022, bringing over 18 years of international experience in infrastructure investment, business development and finance. Céline was previously a Senior Director at CDPQ in the European infrastructure team where she originated and led transactions in transport and social infrastructure. Prior to CDPQ, Céline worked for VINCI for 10 years, in the concessions business (airports, motorways, railways). She had responsibilities in business development, M&A and structured finance, initially based in Paris and subsequently in Singapore where she focused on origination and structuring of transactions in Asia Pacific. Prior to this, she started her career at EY and in the project finance team of Bouygues Construction. Céline is based in iCON’s New York office.

Cliona Audsley

Cliona joined iCON in 2022 and focuses on the firm’s investment activities in North America. She previously worked as an Investment Banking Associate in the Public Finance Group at Citigroup in Los Angeles. Cliona graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a BA in Economics and a minor in Public Policy. Cliona is based in iCON’s New York office.

Camille Hutt

Camille joined iCON in 2021 from the Power, Utilities and Infrastructure team at RBC Capital Markets in London. She has been involved in M&A transactions in the transportation, renewables and energy sectors across Europe.

Camille holds a Master in Business Management (Grenoble Business School, McGill and Bentley University).

Torsten Wolf

Torsten joined iCON in 2021 to focus on asset oversight with over 20 years of C-level management and consulting experience in the transportation and logistics industry.

Before iCON, he held management positions in the rail logistics and modular construction sectors with Touax, a global services provider specializing in operational leasing of transport equipment. Previously, he was the Managing Director of a European pallet logistics service provider and the head of group controlling and strategy of Hapag-Lloyd. He started his career as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company.

Jan Kurzeja

Jan joined iCON in 2021 from the Citigroup’s Power & Utilities team in London. He was involved in transactions covering renewables and power networks transactions across Europe.

Jan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from Charles University in Prague and a Master’s Degree in Banking and Finance from University of St. Gallen.

Ryan Sutherland

Ryan joined iCON in 2021 from the Power, Utilities, and Infrastructure Team at Jefferies.

He has been involved in transactions covering energy from waste, industrial services, and telecommunications on both the M&A and debt advisory side.

He holds a BSc in Discrete Mathematics (University of Warwick).

Aaron Cai

Aaron joined iCON in 2021 and focuses on the firm’s investment activities in North America.

Prior to joining iCON, Aaron was at StepStone Infrastructure and Real Assets, where he focused on co-investments, fund commitments, and minority transactions in various sectors, including renewable energy, telecommunications, and midstream. Before StepStone and his MBA, Aaron was a Project Finance Associate at SkyPower Global, a Canadian solar developer. Aaron started his career as an M&A analyst at BlackArch Partners, a US mid-market investment bank.

Aaron holds an MBA (Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto), an MSc in Finance (Vanderbilt University), and a BBA in Finance (University of Toronto). Aaron is based in iCON’s Toronto office.

Alexis Lagorce

Alexis joined iCON in 2021 as part of the investment team.

Previously he worked at SWEN Capital Partners in Paris and Ardian Infrastructure in London.

He has been involved in renewables, telecom and transport buy side transactions across Europe.

Alexis holds a MSc from Kedge Business School and an Advanced Master’s in Finance from ESCP Business School.

Maximilian Seipelt

Maximilian joined iCON in 2020 from Deutsche Bank’s Infrastructure and Energy team in New York City.

He was involved in transactions covering renewables, utilities, telecommunications, and transport across Europe and North America.

Maximilian holds a degree in Business Administration (University of Mannheim and Fudan University).

Rachele Angeli

Rachele joined iCON in 2020 from the Power, Utilities and Infrastructure team at RBC Capital Markets in London.

She has been involved in M&A transactions in the transportation, renewables and energy sectors across Europe.

Rachele holds a BSc in Economics and Finance from Bocconi University and a Double MSc in Finance from Bocconi University and Nova School of Business and Economics.

Jaime Perez-Maura

Jaime joined iCON in 2020 from the EMEA execution team at UBS where he focused on transport and telecommunications infrastructure from the Madrid and London offices.

Jaime holds an MSc in Management from London School of Economics.

Kyle Duffy

Kyle joined iCON in 2018 from the Infrastructure and Real Estate Group at HSBC.

He brings experience in both M&A and debt advisory work, having been involved in transactions covering airports, roads, oil pipelines and telecommunications.

He holds a BSc in Accounting & Finance (University of Bath).

Paul Kramer

Paul joined iCON in 2018 from the Power & Utilities M&A team at HSBC.

He has been involved in renewables, electricity and regulated utilities transactions across Europe and the Middle East.

He holds a BSc in Economics (Erasmus School of Economics) and a MSc in Finance (Duisenberg School of Finance).

Giorgia Pontico

Giorgia joined iCON in 2018 from Citigroup where she spent 3 years in the Italian and Industrial Investment Banking teams.

She has been involved in M&A and IPO transactions in the infrastructure, utilities and transportation sectors across Europe.

Giorgia holds a MSc in Finance and a BSc in Economics and Finance (Bocconi University).

Dermot Logan

Dermot joined iCON in 2018 to focus on asset oversight. He brings over 20 years of operational and strategic management experience in the energy industry.

Dermot started his career with 19 years at General Electric Company in various international leadership positions. In that time he delivered technical, construction, operational and asset management services across a spectrum of customer applications in power generation, oil & gas, industrial and horticultural sectors. More recently Dermot has focused on project finance development, construction and operations in renewable energy.

Joakim Lambotte

Joakim joined iCON in 2017 from the infrastructure team at DC Advisory, London. He brings experience in both M&A and debt advisory work. Joakim holds an MSc in Management (Imperial College London) and an MSc in Business Law (University of Geneva).

Sarah Johnson

Sarah joined iCON in 2016 to focus on asset management with over 15 years of operational and strategic experience in energy and utilities.

Before iCON, she held several roles at Centrica plc including strategy, M&A and post-merger integration. Previously, she worked for PWC in the UK and Italy, primarily covering valuations and strategy consulting the energy sector. She started her career at Fortum Oyj, helping to set up an energy supply business and manage UK power generation assets.

Rory Hunter

Rory is a Partner at iCON, based in our New York office.  He transferred to our North American team in 2017 having originally joined us in London in 2013.

Rory has over a decade’s experience in infrastructure and was responsible for our investments in TruVista Communications, Conrac Solutions and Iowa Interstate Railroad.  Rory is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and holds an MEng in Aerospace Engineering (University of Bath).

Rishi Pabari

Rishi has been with the iCON Team since 2008. He heads up Investor Relations and is also responsible for rail-related investments.

Since joining iCON, Rishi has been involved in all aspects of investment across the transportation and energy sectors, including origination, acquisition, asset management and divestment. In that time he has been responsible for over €4 billion of completed financings. His previous background was in debt finance and hedging, in which he arranged and managed over €5 billion of credit facilities at Deutsche Bank and Dresdner Bank.

Peter Moore

Peter has been with iCON since its inception and is a Partner.  He has been involved in all aspects of the establishment and development of iCON’s business, including the establishment of a number of iCON’s funds.

Peter focuses on origination and asset oversight across a broad range of sectors, with a particular focus on regulated utilities and health and social care.  Peter was involved in or responsible for iCON’s investments in Mountaineer Gas Company, firmus energy, Gasnatet Stockholm, Choice Care and Nua, among others.

Prior to joining the iCON team in 2007, Peter trained and practised as a solicitor at a leading law firm in London, where he specialised in corporate finance, M&A and private equity buyouts.

Neil Keogh

Neil joined iCON in 2016 from the Business and Investor Advisory team at Arup, where he focused on transactions in the transport and utilities sectors. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI) and holds a BSc in Architectural Science (University College Dublin) and an MSc in Architecture (University College London). Neil is based in iCON’s New York office.

Mirco Lother

Mirco came to iCON in 2015 from a Zurich-based fund advisor that specialised in renewable energy and green infrastructure. He brings experience in wind, solar and CHP transactions. Mirco also holds an MSc in Economics (Universities of Bern and Copenhagen).

Kristoff Torfs

Kristoff joined iCON in 2016 to focus on asset oversight.

He brings over 17 years of operational and strategic experience in logistics and ports. He joined us from Terminal Investment Limited, operator of major container terminals where he was responsible for a global portfolio of terminals. Previously was Terminal Manager at MSC Home Terminal (MPET) in Antwerp, one of Europe’s largest container terminals.

Joel Adaah

Joel joined iCON in 2016, having previously spent 2 years in Goldman Sachs’ Pan-European Equity Sales team. He holds a BSc in Accounting & Finance (London School of Economics).

Jeremy Smith

Jeremy joined iCON in 2012 and has played a significant role in the origination and execution of transactions for European and North American assets across a wide range of sectors, in particular district heating, as well as the debt financing, asset oversight and realisation of our investments.

Formerly a solicitor with Weil Gotshal & Manges, London, he spent over 6 years working on private equity as well domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and portfolio company management.

Ivana Semeraro

Ivana joined iCON in 2013 bringing over 15 years of corporate finance and investment experience.

She works on a range of investment opportunities in the energy and transportation sectors in Europe. Before joining us, Ivana was an Investment Manager for EEA Fund Management with responsibility for leading renewable energy investments across Europe. Previous roles included covering origination, risk assessment, execution and management of energy investments and debt facilities for Deutsche Bank and General Electric. Prior to this, she started her career as an M&A corporate finance advisor for Citigroup and EY.

Indradoot Dhar

Indradoot re-joined iCON in 2017 to focus on asset oversight and risk management.

He originally joined iCON in 2006 as part of the Deutsche Bank graduate class, working on investments across all infrastructure sectors, with a particular focus on the origination and oversight of assets in Southern Europe.

Gary Eade

Gary joined iCON in 2013 and focuses on investments in the energy sector.

Gary has over 20 years’ experience in both conventional and renewable power generation. He started his career with 13 years in multiple management roles in the Energy Division at General Electric. He then spent time at General Energy Financial Services. More recently he has worked as Head of Energy for EEA Fund Management and as a technical director in Deutsche Bank’s principal investment team.

Enis Moran

Enis is a Partner at iCON and a member of our Investment Committee.

He has 12 years of principal investing experience in infrastructure and has held leadership roles across many of our investments since the establishment of the firm. Prior to joining the iCON team, Enis worked at Deutsche Bank in New York.

David Luson

David has worked for iCON since February 2015.

Previously David was an M&A lawyer at Herbert Smith Freehills, mainly acting for private equity sponsors. He has experience in domestic and cross-border M&A in many sectors from infrastructure and energy to TMT and real estate. This experience spans acquisitions, disposals, management buy-outs and restructurings. He spent 9 months on secondment as in-house counsel to an infrastructure fund before joining iCON.

Aine O’Connor

Aine joined iCON in 2017, having previously worked as a lawyer in the banking and finance group at Fasken Martineau, Toronto. She specialised in infrastructure. She holds both a Bachelors in Business and Law (University College Dublin) and an LLM with a Business Law concentration (University of Toronto). Aine is based iCON’s Toronto office.

Andrew Simon, OBE

Andrew is an independent board member of general partners within the iCON group of funds.

Andrew’s experience of CEO, board level, private equity and M&A work spans multiple jurisdictions and industries. He was previously Chairman and CEO at Evode Group for over 20 years. He has been a board member of numerous infrastructure companies including Associated British Ports, Severn Trent and Dalkia.

Deryk King

Deryk is one of iCON’s Managing Partners, is a member of our Investment Committee and is the Chairman of general partners within the iCON group of funds.

He has over 30 years of CEO and board level experience. Before joining iCON he was Chairman and CEO of Direct Energy (North America). He oversaw its growth from inception to 5,000 employees and €7 billion in revenue. Previous roles include senior management roles in ICI Group, and Group Managing Director and board member of Powergen plc.

Reiner Schränkler

Reiner is a partner and a member of iCON’s Investment Committee, based in our Düsseldorf office.

After 15 years in infrastructure M&A with Citigroup, Reiner joined Hochtief A.G. in Germany. He worked there for 7 years as a member of their Global Executive Committee and CEO of Hochtief Concessions A.G, which owned interests in six airports, seven toll roads on three continents and over 100 PPP projects in Germany, the UK and North America.

Daniel Agostino

Daniel is one of iCON’s Managing Partners and is also a member of the Investment Committee.

Daniel has been part of the iCON Team since 2005. His two decades of infrastructure experience covers principal investment, infrastructure financing and project development. Prior to iCON, Daniel worked in the Energy & Infrastructure Group at Freshfields (London) and in project finance at Blake Dawson (Australia).

Iain Macleod

Iain is one of iCON’s Managing Partners and a member of the Investment Committee.

With two decades of infrastructure and corporate finance experience, Iain joined iCON in 2012. He previously spent over 11 years at Deutsche Bank where his roles included EMEA Head of Transportation and Infrastructure and Asia Head of M&A. He has led numerous landmark infrastructure sector M&A transactions and equity and debt financings.

Paul Malan

Paul is iCON’s Senior Partner and Chairman of the Investment Committee.

Paul has been successfully executing and managing infrastructure investments for over 20 years, including all of iCON’s investments. He founded the iCON Team in 2004 following 10 years in various roles at Macquarie Bank in London and Australia.
